An eclectic mix of themes and ideas constituted the “look” at the NOPI Race Wars Event this weekend. Fashion is the prevailing taste of a group of people in society. So, is the fashionable figure of the moment. The “in” look at the NOPI Race Wars Series at Bradenton Florida is sporty-casual streetwear with a stand out piece being blue jean micro shorts and bikini tops. The dominant fashion figure for the chicks was a tanned curvaceous body displaying shorts that accentuated a long leggy look.

Color Trends

The styles worn by the boys and girls echoed many of the Urban designs with a slant towards streetwear and sportswear. Blue was NOPI’s most popular color for this weekend although the occasional black and earth tone snuck in on several mini skirts that caught our eyes. Guys also wore blue as their primary color. An ensemble we saw often included blue jeans and a white or black shirt or T shirt. Many of the guys simply wore no shirts showing off their bare torsos to the delight of many of the girls at the event. In summary, although red and blue were big players in this weekends fashion taste, flesh tones became dominant as the day wore on due to the heat.

Fashion Inspiration

Most of this weekends fashion inspirations were admittedly worn with the intent to attract the opposite sex. Skin tight shorts and pierced belly buttons were the show’s main feature. Women’s wear focused on very short shorts with one inch inseams. Menswear included baggy pants mostly off the hips with the gangster look being heavily represented. The men also wore bare tops or loose fitting shirts with tank tops.

To look cool and make the chicks drool one guy told us. Frequently taking their shirts off, the boys flexed their muscles with no purpose when girls gathered closely. One young man scratched behind his ear with surgical precision as he strategically tightened all the muscles in his arms while several girls looked on.

Clothing range for NOPIs event is a capsule collection of sweats, blue jeans, tanks, and shorts; sporty casual clothing with a streetwear urban edge and the women were looking drop dead sexy- rivaling California girls for the sheer glam of it all.

For chic femininity, Peachbuns offered several European-style two piece bikini that were represented by the second and third place winners of the famous NOPI Bikini Fashion Show. Top honors for the best of show goes to Peachbuns for an ensemble piece that featured a bikini bra that supported the bust with a natural sense of freedom but with a touch of glamour that left the audience clamoring for an encore show.
